NHS Tech Students Taking Talent to State Competition

on February 8th, 2012 at 2:19:45 PM

Three of the four Northwest Whitfield High School students who took top honors at the 2012 Sequoyah Regional Technology Fair will proceed to the next round of competition at the state level.

  • Multimedia Applications - 1st Place - Sophomore Josh Rountree
  • Digital Photography - 1st Place - Senior Eli McMahon
  • Web 2.0 Internet Applications - 1st Place - Freshman Bryan Cooper
  • Multimedia Applications - 2nd Place - Audrey Edds

Media Specialist Betsy Clem has sponsored the competition at Northwest and earned a bit of recognition herself from Judi Haggerty, director of the technology fair.

“Last year, she had never heard of this competition,” Haggerty said. “Not only has she hosted her own school wide fair, but she is sending 3 students to the state competition. She also was more than willing to jump in and help at the regional contest.”

The state competition is scheduled for March 12 at Macon State College. Learn more about the competition in a previous post titled Whitfield High School Students Take Tech to the Next Level.
