Northwest Whitfield High School Students Place at State Tech Fair

Three Northwest Whitfield High School students recently earned top spots at the statewide Georgia Educational Technology Fair at Macon State College.

  • Eli McMahon took 2nd Place in Digital Photography for a collage created in Photoshop that consisted of original artwork. McMahon also received a scholarship from the Georgia Educational Technology Consortium, Inc. for earning the highest place for a 12th-grader in his category.
  • Bryan Cooper earned 3rd Place in the Web 2.0 category for a website he created on the history of aviation.

Three of the four Northwest Whitfield High School students who took top honors at the 2012 Sequoyah Regional Technology Fair will proceed to the next round of competition at the state level.

  • Multimedia Applications - 1st Place - Sophomore Josh Rountree
  • Digital Photography - 1st Place - Senior Eli McMahon
  • Web 2.0 Internet Applications - 1st Place - Freshman Bryan Cooper
  • Multimedia Applications - 2nd Place - Audrey Edds

Media Specialist Betsy Clem has sponsored the competition at Northwest and earned a bit of recognition herself from Judi Haggerty, director of the technology fair.

Four Northwest Whitfield High School students took top honors this week at the Sequoyah Regional Georgia Educational Technology Fair and will proceed to the next round at the state competition in March.

  • Bryan Cooper won first place in Web 2.0 Internet Applications for his Wikia website on the history of aviation in the United States.
  • Eli McMahon earned first place in Digital Photography for a PhotoShop collage of original artwork and photography that depicts the negative and positive influences on the average teenage girl in the modern age.
